DOTHAN:  10:20 PM  Dothan Police had shots fired at Summertree Apartments. A suspect vehicle description was broadcast.

A Dothan Police Patrol unit called in that he was behind the suspect vehicle which was turning into Henry Green Apartments. As the officer was describing behind the suspect, turning into the apartment complex, suspect vehicle was pulling into a parking place... and all of a sudden the officer begins shouting suspect is running from the vehicle. 

Understand the situation. A lone officer, with a suspect who possibly fired at least ten rounds at Summertree Apartments, and subject jumps from his vehicle running.

The lone Dothan Police Officer takes off on foot chasing the suspect. As the officer is running as hard as he can to physically chase the suspect down, the officer is calling on the radio his clothing description, which way the suspect is headed. That the suspect is pulling his shirt off and now has a white shirt. Officers are scrambling to assist this officer.

Someone comes over the radio to the officer where are you at? And the officer goes, 10-15.

10-15 means person in custody. The officer literally chased the suspect on foot and apprehended him.

Now Dothan Police Patrol Division is working details to see if in fact this is the person that fired the shots. And decisions will be made on the outcome of the investigation.

But HATS OFF to the Dothan Police Officer who literally chased this suspect down and apprehended him.
