1:17 PM Dothan Structure Fire - Possible Arson

DOTHAN: At 1:17 PM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire - Dothan Police - and local EMS to a structure fire at 241 Headland Avenue. When units were responding Dothan 911 advised them that Dothan Police had an earlier assault call at the same location earlier in the day.
Dothan 911 reported flames from the top and back of the residence.
Responding Dothan Batallion Chief Ash, Engine 1, Engine 5, Engine9, TRuck 1, Emergency Medical Services Assistant Commander, and Rehab Truck, along with multiple Dothan Police units.
Minutes after arrival Batallion Chief Ash called for a Fire Prevention Investigator to respond to investigate the fire.
Dothan 911, Dothan Police and Dothan Fire had reported to them that someone threw something through the window which started the fire.
On arrival Dothan Fire confirmed all residents were evacuated and accounted for. Dothan Fire called Red Cross to take care of a displaced resident.
When units were rolling to the scene smoke was showing from East Main Street and Columbia Highway.
Dothan Utilities responded and cut the power to the residence. Utility Companies are first responders.
Dispatched at 1:17 PM and under control at 1:36 PM.
