117 Pounds of Marijuana Found During Jefferson County Traffic Stop

According to an Article on Al.com: Two men are in custody after a traffic stop led to the seizure of 117 pounds of marijuana.
The haul was found just before 10:30 p.m. Monday by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Highway Safety Unit. Chief Deputy Randy Christian said the team carried out a traffic stop on two vehicles traveling along Interstate 22 near mile marker 88. The cars were traveling together and had been speeding.
The pair consented to a search of the vehicles during which lawmen found two duffel bags in each trunk. One of the pair of duffel bags contained 55 pounds of marijuana, and the other pair contained 62 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $117,000.
