A 12-year-old girl wounded when gunfire erupted inside the Riverchase Galleria Thanksgiving night has been released from the hospital.
“I am so thankful for all the messages, prayers and gifts we have received,’’ said her mother, Julie Moore Bennett, in a Monday message to AL.com. “Molly is home now and doing much better.”
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Nov. 22 on the second floor of the mall. Hoover police said an argument between several young men led to gunfire. An 18-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was wounded, as well as Molly. Emantic Fitzgerald “EJ” Bradford, 21, was shot and killed by Hoover police. Authorities said Bradford was involved in the initial altercation but did not fire the shots that wounded the two others.
