16-Year-old Arrested in Montgomery Robbery, Shooting Case

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged with a shooting and robbery that happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 8, according to the Montgomery Police Department.


Arthur Colvin is accused of shooting a man around 4 a.m. that day in the 1700 block of Hamlet Court. Both the suspect and victim were shot during the incident, police said.


The victim's injuries were said to non-life-threatening while Colvin's injuries were much more serious.


Montgomery detectives found that the shooting happened during the robbery of the victim. After the victim was shot and wounded, authorities say he returned fire, hitting the 16-year-old.
