DOTHAN:    Dothan Police 911 dispatched multiple Dothan Fire Engines, Pilcher Ambulance, Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies to a structure fire on South Foster Street, south of Main Street.


When Dothan Fire arrived this was an active structure fire. Dothan Fire dropped fire hoses across Main Street and down South Foster Street closing Main Street completely.


Under the scene command of Dothan Fire Batallion Chief David Hasty, Dothan Fire did an excellant quick attack bringing the structure fire under control quickly.


Houston County Sheriff Patrol Lt. James Ivey, who was quick on the scene, developed information from someone a male with tattoos was seen in the area. The person of interest was quickly located and detained by both Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Dothan Police.


On scene police called a criminal investigator and a Fire Marshall to the scene. Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams was on the scene.


The Building is located on the east side of South Foster Street, just south of the railroad, south of the old Porter Hardware building. The building had wood boarding over the windows.
