DOTHAN, Ala. -
The Dothan/Houston County Emergency Management Agency said 22 people were rescued locally as Hurricane Michael hit the region.
Some of those rescue operations involved people with serious injuries and some did not involve injuries. The total number of injuries was not yet known.
In some cases, the rescues involved trees crashing down onto houses. In other circumstances, hurricane conditions led to traffic accidents.
