HOUSTON COUNTY: 3:21 AM....Multiple Fire units from Ashford and Cowarts responded to a report of a structure fire at 2535 Ashford Road. The first unit on scene advised heavy smoke and flames visible with two other structures in danger. Ashford Police and Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded along with ambulances from Ashford Rescue.
Chief Posey has requested a second alarm assignment to respond to the fire. Units from Webb and Lovetown responded along with a second ambulance from Cottonwood Rescue.
The road the fire is located on is closed due to emergency equipment and supply line blocking the road. A second fire was discovered in another house next door. Houston County Sheriff’s Investigators are investigating both fires.
