DOTHAN:    3:43 pm    Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police to a burglary in progress at 1147 North Park Avenue, Saliba Construction. A passerby citizen saw a black male removing a generator from the fence area.

Dothan Police were quick on the scene. The subject was seen running from the scene and Dothan Police gave foot chase. Dothan Police chased the subject across Montgomery Highway through the service station and behind the laundromat. The subject was apprehended behind laundromat.

Dothan Police took subject in custody. Criminal Investigators were called to the scene.

GOOD JOB to Dothan 911 Center for quick accurate information and that information to the responding officers. GOOD JOB to the responding officers for quick response and apprehension of the suspect.

Also thanks to the alert citizen. To keep crime under control, it takes you as citizens being observant and calling into the 911 Center. Law Enforcement has to be partners with the community in order to manage crime.
