WICKSBURG: 3:55 PM. Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched deputies to a possible burglary at 135 Sandbed Road, D and W Meat Processors in Wicksburg. A suspect vehicle description was given.
Dispatched at 3:49 PM before 3:54 PM Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza had the suspect vehicle and stopped it.
Sheriff Valenza was returning from the manhunt of the suspects in the woods in Dale County where he and other Houston County Sheriff Deputies assisted Dale County.
Houston County Sheriff Deputy Asbill responded to back Sheriff Valenza up and on the scene with him now.
Sheriff Valenza responds to calls. He is not just a “in the office” Sheriff. And when deputies go into dangerous conditions such as manhunt in Dale County, Sheriff Valenza personally responds. He does not mind “leading” into dangerous situations if needed. If not leading he wants to be close should the Deputy need assistance.
BTW - Sheriff Valenza is an excellant on marksmanship.
