DOTHAN:    4:44 PM.   Due to the weather the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds is closed tonight, November 7.


This is for the safety of citizens.


The National Weather Service briefs Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah every four hours during the Peanut Festival. Director Judah forwards those National Weather Service briefings to the National Peanut Festival.


Based On those briefings the President and NPF Board made the decision not to open the fairgrounds.
