HOUSTON COUNTY:    5:13 PM   Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Hodgeville UNPAID Professional Fire, and local EMS to the 800 block of East Saunders Road to a truck verses a deer accident.

Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management was on Third Avenue just passing East Saunders Road ( on his personal vehicle ) when the call was dispatched. Emergency Management responded and was the first on the scene.

There were no injuries. The buck deer was dead on the scene.

The Alabama State Trooper was in the 1100 block of West Saunders Road finishing the Corvette accident when this call came in.

The driver refused treatment from local EMS. Houston County Sheriff Deputy Jim Pike remained at the accident until Alabama State Troopers responded.

To assist Hodgesville, since Rehobeth UNPAID PROFESSIONAL FIRE was already in the 1100 block of West Saunders Road, Rehobeth sent their fire engine to the accident. Several Hodgesville UNPAID PROFESSIONAL FIREMAN responded to the scene.

NOTE:      I am not going to mention his name to embarass him, but I feel like you, the public, Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish and Dothan Commissioners know about a Dothan Police Officer. For years before he was a police officer and since being a Dothan Police Officer. he VOLUNTEERS and DONATES his time to the Hodgesville Volunteer Fire and is one of the UNPAID PROFESSIONAL FIREMAN who serve Houston County. I have seen him in action. He jumps right into the fire and fights the fire, serving not only in capacity as a police officer but giving back to this community as a volunteer fireman.

THANKS.
