5:18 PM. Burglary In Progress On Summitt Street

DOTHAN: 5:18 PM. Dothan 911 dispatched police to a burglary in progress of a residence on Summitt Street and East Haven.
When multiple Dothan Police Officers arrived they were informed when the resident got home someone pulled the front door closed as they opened it. The persons reporting told the police both the front and rear of the house had been observed and no one left.
The on scene police units called for Dothan K-9 Officer to respond to deploy the K-9 in the house.
When the K-9 arrived with multiple police officers having the house surronded the K-9 was deployed inside the house to search. It would have been an extreme OUCH moment had someone been in the house. But no one was.
After the K-9 searched officers physically searched and no one was found inside the house.
Dothan Police were quick on their response and to surround the house in the event someone was inside.
