GENEVA COUNTY: Geneva County 911 Central dispatched multiple Geneva County Fire Departments to a structure fire at 859 Bud Hagler Road out from Slocomb.
The primary department was Slocomb Fire. Automatic aid and dispatched at the same time was Malvern Fire and Fadette Fire along with Slocomb Fire - Rescue EMS.
When Slocomb Fire arrived this was designated as a working structure fire with smoke visible.
The departments took an aggressive approach and knocked the fire down in minutes and had it under control.
Slocomb Police were on the scene.
Fire Responder Wiregrass Electric responded to the scene. On their arrival it was determined it was Alabama Power and not Wiregrass Electric customer. Because of liability they have to wait on Alabama Power.
The estimated times for Alabama Power are about as predictable when Donald Trump will stop sending out Twitter Messages. Well, in fact, Trump is more predictable on Twitter Messages then getting an estimated time of arrival on a scene from Alabama Power.
