DOTHAN:     6:50 PM.   Dothan 911 dispatched a "armed Robbery", in progress, at 6:16 PM at 103 Mill Creek Circle off Murphy Mill Road. Dothan 911 reported at least two white males.


Multiple Dothan Police units responded. Dothan 911 operators were quick to develop information and broadcast that information.


Once the information was broadcast "two 'ol dogs" apprehended the suspects. Dothan Police Sgt. Magill and Sgt. Saxon quickly developed the suspects at Westgate Parkway near West Main Intersection.


The red Jeep Cherokee was stopped behind the Chevron next to C & M Sporting Goods. One suspect was apprehended on foot at Walgreen's Parking lot off Westgate Parkway at West Main Street.


At least one female was taken into custody. As Dothan Police were walking her to the police car she was yelling "I don't want to go to jail...no" as the officers walked her to the patrol car. She was wrestling the officers but they professionally kept her under control and attempting to calm her down.


Dothan Police called Dothan Criminal Investigation Division to the scene and location of arrests to begin investigation.


Dothan Fire was called to the Mill Creek address to treat the victims.



UNCONFIRMED:  the suspects were selling something on CRAIGSLIST or another site and went to deliver. That is when the robbery occurred.


Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish has established a "safe zone" in front of the Dothan Police Department at 210 North Saint Andrews for such transactions. The location is under constant video surveillance.


The location in front of the police department is clearly marked as such a safety zone. DO NOT ever have anyone come to your home. Use what Chief Parrish established for "YOUR SAFETY".
