COTTONWOOD:   08:00 PM.   Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Cottonwood UNPAID PROFESSIONAL FIRE, Cottonwood Rescue and Houston County Sheriff Deputies to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.


The accident was a single vehicle accident. The vehicle appeared to be traveling south from Willie Varnum Road towards State Line Road On DHODGE Road when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and into the ditch. The vehicle skid in the ditch and came to a SUDDEN STOP when the vehicle struck the drain pipe in the driveway.


The driver suffered minor injuries and was not transported to a medical facility.


Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Agency, and Alabama State Troopers were on the scene.


Alabama State Trooper Shane Rogers is in charge of the accident investigation.
