HOUSTON COUNTY: Madrid Fire and Rehobeth Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at US 231 and Stateline Road. No one was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Houston County Sheriff’s Office also responded. One lane where the crash occurred was closed until it could be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
NOW.....
People when you see emergency lights coming up behind you... you are to pull to the right and allow them to pass. This is a law not an option... Emergency vehicles go left and you go right....
NOTE: The occupants in the small SUV that was struck from behind were extremely lucky no one was seriously injured. There were twelve in the SUV and six were under the age of four and not in car seats. Having your children in car seats is the law... if the vehicle had been struck from behind by a large vehicle all six could have been killed.
Parents please make sure you have proper car seats for all children that are suppose to be in them. Thank god this out come wasn’t as bad as it could have been. If parents could see what we see maybe they would think before acted... Just Saying
