The Tropical Storm Warning and Flood Watch remain in effect for the Wiregrass area (Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, and Houston). The storm has turned to the north-northeast with slight strengthening to maximum sustained winds of 65mph with higher gusts. Landfall is expected in the Florida Panhandle on Monday. Tropical Storm Alberto is not expected to strengthen much more before landfall.

Rainfall amounts of 5-6 inches are possible.  A severe weather threat, including tornadoes, is anticipated overnight tonight and will continue throughout the day tomorrow. The primary concern is still heavy rainfall, which can cause flash flooding.

As always, remain alert and use caution when driving in these weather conditions.

Further updates will follow tomorrow morning - Authority Dothan-Houston County EMA Director Judah
