9:42 PM... Deputies Responded to a Report of a Firearm Assault

HOUSTON COUNTY: At 9:43 PM Houston County Deputies were dispatched to a Firearm Assault in the 8000 block of hwy 605 south of Rehobeth. Reports are one person has a gunshot wound to the head. Deputies quickly arrived and secured the scene.
Investigators with the Houston County Sheriff's Office are on the scene along with Chief Deputy Jeff Carlisle. It is early in the investigation but appears to be self inflicted. Rehobeth Rescue and Southern Junction Fire also responded.
