A LOVE SO SPECIAL

“ WE LOVED WITH A LOVE THAT WAS MORE THAN LOVE”

I surprised Mrs. Jewel Berry on New Year’s Day with a homemade cake not because it was her bday or any other special occasion...
But because I needed to try and turn her frown Upside Down.

Her husband, Joe Berry, passed away last month the day before his birthday and a few days before their 63rd wedding anniversary.

A couple of years ago I surprised Mrs. Jewel with a cake and I’ll never forget what her daughter Sandy Blunt-Roney told me after I left.
“ Steve she couldn’t stop crying when you left and she said....

“That’s the first time anyone has ever made a cake just for me.”

Well...I was going to surprise her husband with a cake on his birthday last month and that morning right after I had set the butter out Sandy his daughter messaged me that he passed away earlier that day as he was sitting on his 1958 tractor that he loved so much.
All that knew Mr. Joe were heartbroken including me But I knew Mrs. Jewel Especially was.

A couple of years ago when Mr. Joe was feeling down I took him one of his favorite meals... Fried Catfish From Hunt’s Place. That day is a day I will never ever forget.  Mr. Joe hugged me with tears streaming from his eyes which caused tears to stream from mine. He gave Me a hug that warmed my heart. I had forgotten after so many years how hugs really do heal. I think that day Mr. Joes hug healed us both and I didn’t expect it.  The last man that hugged me was my father and that was probably 45years ago.

Maybe that was my father hugging me through Mr. Joe.

Mrs. Jewel had just lost her “ Best Friend For 63 Years “ And I Lost A Friend.

I told her tonight that she was blessed to be married almost 63 yrs and it was very obvious every time I was around them that they still loved each other very much.

Mrs. Jewel lost a daughter 10 years ago to cancer. Nancy Berry was just like her mom. Very giving and had a heart of Gold.

A LOVE SO SPECIAL

I received this special message after I left Mrs. Jewel’s house....

“ My Mother called me, she was still crying. You made her night. She couldn’t understand why you did that. (She thinks it cost you so much money). She loved every penny you spent & your time. I told her that this is who you are. “

I pray That Each Of You Who Are Reading This Are Also Blessed With
