DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: Earlier today Dothan Police chased a vehicle from a domestic case. The suspect attempted to strike the officer.
Dothan Police CALEA ( accreditation ) prevents the officer’s in ways. The chase was ended but three minutes later the suspect vehicle was found.
This afternoon Houston County Sheriff Lt. James Ivey spotted the suspect in a vehicle. Reports are the suspect attempted to strike Lt. Ivey.
A chase took place. Traveled several roads to include Headland Avenue and Ross Clark Circle.
Word To wise.. there are reasons the Sheriff vehicles have front end brush guards. One reason is to ‘shove” them up a suspect’s tailpipe when they don’t stop. The chase ended at Meadowbrook and Ross Clark Circle with subject wrecking.
Tge suspect now has multiple charges. A lot more issues to deal with now then the number of issues if he just- stopped.
Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza was on the scene.
