ALABAMA:    The following article and comments by " A PRACTICING ATTORNEY" and former " Assistant District Attorney "in Tuscaloosa Alabama.

This " practicing attorney " is also a Alabama Lawmaker.

Chris England, I have a better suggestion. Remove all of the security from the Alabama State Capital, Alabama Statehouse, the Alabama Courthouses, and Alabama City Halls and for once take care of the schools.

STOP the security for the Alabama Attorney General. Hell, the richest man in Alabama does not have a driver or body guards. And he is far - by far - more important than Steve Marshall, the Alabama Attorney General.

SOLUTION TO THE SCHOOL SECURITY:   Then take the money you spend on the security to protect you and the others in the Alabama Statehouse and put them in the schools across this state protecting the valuable resources of this state - the children.

Chris, you and your fellow lawmakers remember the children. Of course you do, it is election year. Those are the political pawns you speak about to tug on the voters heart strings to make the public think ya'll actually give a hoot about the children.

QUESTION:   Since the Alabama Legislature only meets January through April or May what are all these security people doing when legislature is not in session.

ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT:    With proper business management over the driver license division, which is a money maker, you could afford school security.

I agree with arming school officials being questionable. But the public can not depend on people like yourself to make the correct decisions. Because all of you, to include Alabama Governor Kay Ivey can not get your heads out of - SOMEWHERE - long enough for real solutions.

Alabama lawmaker says Ivey's plan to arm school administrators is illegal

One Alabama lawmaker is issuing a warning to those considering implementing Gov. Kay Ivey's plan to allow school administrators to be armed.

"Before any sheriff, local school board or potential volunteer engages in the sentry program, find out if it's legal first---and do not take the Governor's office's word for it," said Rep. Chris England, D-Tuscaloosa, a practicing attorney for nearly two decades.
