ASHFORD:      All Children Are Safe - all Children Are Safe - all children are safe.

There was a social media threat concerning Ashford High School student. The threat was not against the school itself.

Houston County School Superintendent David Sewell and Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza are on top of this and ALL STUDENTS ARE SAFE.

The student in question is not at the school today. 

Superintendent David Sewell and Sheriff Donald Valenza get on ANY threat immediately. Whether it is 2 AM in the morning or 2 PM in the afternoon. And they run the leads and information until they get to the conclusion of it.

As parents, you can rest assured that Supt. David Sewell or Sheriff Donald Valenza would close the school immediately if they felt there was a credible threat which endangers student.

To say it plainly...Sewell will not let your studenet sbe at risk but also Sheriff Valenza will pull the Chief Law Enforcement card and force the school closed if he felt there was a credible threat. So your children have double layers of protection.
