Update on Suspicious Package at Andalusia Health
Two more people have been arrested in connection with the suspicious package left at Andalusia Health Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018.
As previously announced, Donavan Spenard was arrested Monday, Sept. 10 for promoting prison contraband second degree and distribution of controlled substance.
The two additional subjects were arrested today, Thursday, Sept. 13. Joseph T. Spenard, age 25 of Andalusia and Joseph P. Cender, age 40 of Andalusia, have been charged with conspiracy to promote prison contraband, a Class B misdemeanor. Investigator Cody Warren says both men are inmates at the Covington County Jail and committed the crime from inside the jail.
Bond for both men is set at $3000 dollars each.
Investigator Warren says a fourth suspect involved in this case is being sought. Investigators have obtained warrants for the arrest of 24 year old John Michael Russ of Andalusia. The charge is one count of second degree promoting prison contraband and distribution of a controlled substance.
