Ashford City Council Attempts ILLEGAL ACTIONS While Mayor Out Of Country - LAWSUIT FILED

ASHFORD:     Ashford Mayor Jonathon Grecu is in his second term as Mayor. The City Council is attempting an apparent illegal take over.


But the council members, Gary Gibson, Carole Barfield, and Denise Henderson did when they caught the Mayor out of the country.


The three council members passed a Ordinance while Mayor Grecu was gone that gave the council the power to appoint the Police Chief, Fire Chief, Senior Citizens Director, Recreation Director and Utilities Superintendent.


The council members actions, while underhanded and dirty, were done when they caught the Mayor gone.


Mayor Grecu filed an action in Houston County Circuit Court to stop the council members in their tracks as they attempt to trample on the Mayor and those appointed officials.


Things in Ashford HAD BEEN running smooth. But the trio attempted to be under handed in their actions.


That is why I stress in the elections of the City of Dothan on August, 1 EACH VOTE COUNTS and you need to vote.


The case is assigned to 20th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Butch Binford.
