A former Baldwin County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) deputy is under fire for allegedly stealing $6,000 in taxpayer money by falsifying his time cards, Sheriff Huey "Hoss" Mack said Wednesday, April 11, in an interview with FOX10 News Investigates.
Sheriff Mack said Sgt. Carl Griffith, who resigned in November 2017, claimed to have worked up to 60 hours on government time when he was actually working a second job, or not at work at all.
According to Mack, about $1,500 of that money were federal tax dollars given to BCSO for a traffic enforcement grant.
