Barry Moore says rivals Martha Roby, Bobby Bright should be disqualified from GOP primary

GOP congressional candidate Barry Moore wants two of his primary opponents disqualified from the ballot, arguing they are not truly Republicans. But Moore said he won't personally challenge the credentials of incumbent Rep. Martha Roby and former Congressman Bobby Bright.


In an email to supporters last week titled, "ALERT: DEMOCRATS RUNNING AS REPUBLICANS IN DISTRICT 2," Moore's campaign said Roby was not worthy of running on the Republican line because she didn't vote for President Donald Trump in 2016. As for Bright, Moore said he should be disqualified because he was a Democrat when he held the Montgomery and Wiregrass-based seat for one term in 2008.
