B&E call Lands One in Jail

On July 24, 2018 shortly before 7:00 am, Officers of the Marianna Police Department responded to an address on Pearl Street in reference to a vehicle being entered and an Iphone missing from the interior of the vehicle. At the onset of the investigation it was determined that the vehicle had been left unlocked during the nighttime.


Later that morning the Iphone was tracked to an address on St. Johns Street. Officers made contact with the owner of the residence and she was informed that the stolen Iphone was being tracked to her residence. Consent was then given by the homeowner to search her residence. Upon entry into the home, Officers made contact with Charles Donald. Donald was advised that Officers were there looking for the stolen Iphone. Donald stated that he did have the Iphone and that is was in his bedroom. The Iphone was retrieved and the serial number matched the one reported stolen. Donald was then placed under arrest.


Donald was then transported to the Marianna Police Department to be processed. Upon arrival Donald provided Officers with a statement that implicated another individual’s involvement. Donald was then transported to JCCF to await first appearance. This case is still under investigation and charges for the other individual’s involvement are forthcoming.
