MONTGOMERY, AL— Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries John McMillan and the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association will honor Montgomery first responders at Beef Day on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ed Teague Arena on the Garrett Coliseum campus.
Beef Day is one of the featured events taking place during October Beef Month in Alabama. In addition to enjoying steak sandwiches, we will salute police officers and firefighters who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
We invite you to attend this event as Commissioner McMillan will hold a short press conference at noon to honor Department of Public Safety staffers and discuss the economic impact of Alabama’s $2.5 billion cattle industry. As a member of the media, you will enjoy a complimentary steak sandwich lunch provided by Alabama’s hardworking cattlemen.
