Charles Barkley is donating a total of $100,000 to hurricane relief efforts in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the NBA Hall of Famer and former Auburn star said today.
Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria left death and devastation in their wake in those areas. The damages are projected to total billions.
In addition, Barkley is contributing $25,000 to the Las Vegas Victims Fund.
"I just want to help people; I think it' the right thing to do," he said on Monday. "I was waiting to assess the full impact of the hurricanes and then Las Vegas happened."
