Chase in Enterprise Leads to an Arrest

On November 8, 2017, at 12:45 PM, the Enterprise Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Boll Weevil Circle and N. Main Street.  The suspect failed to yield to police vehicles and a brief pursuit ensued.


The pursuit ended when the driver of the stolen vehicle crashed into a residence at the intersection of Alberta Street and Cherry Hill.  The driver of the stolen vehicle was taken into custody without further incident. 


The occupants of the residence were not injured.  EPD Officers arrested and charged Van Johnson II, age 18, of Enterprise, AL with Theft of Property 1st, Attempting to Elude Police, and several traffic violations. 


Johnson was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
