City of Dothan to Conduct a FREE Bidder’s Seminar & Enrollment Event

Does your company sell supplies or services compatible with City of Dothan needs? If so, please join us on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 9:00 AM in Suite 201 (the City Manager’s Conference Room) of the Dothan Civic Center, where we will conduct bidder registration. The City of Dothan lets formal bids for supplies and services exceeding $15,000 a year. Quotes are obtained for items costing $2,500 to $14,999 in one year. When bids are let for items your company sells, you will be emailed a bid invitation.


Some of the City of Dothan’s potential areas of need include the following: Fire, Police, Animal Shelter, Water, Electric, Waste Water Treatment; Waste Water Collection, Information Technology Services; Leisure Services, including Water World, Sports, Senior Programs; Performing Arts; Engineering, Street and Traffic; Fleet Maintenance & Repair, Building Maintenance, Horticulture & Safety, Personnel; Demolition; and much more.


Items exempt from bidding include: professional services (Attorney, Engineer, Architect, etc.) insurance, fiscal advice or services, compatible computer hardware, custom computer software, purchases where the price is already regulated and set by state law and sole source providers.
