MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A legislative committee has narrowly rejected a proposal to allow people to carry concealed handguns in public without getting a special permit.






The Senate Tourism and Marketing Committee on Tuesday voted down the proposal by Republican Sen. Gerald Allen of Tuscaloosa. A motion to advance the bill to the Senate floor failed on a 6-5 vote.






Allen said people should be able to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms without paying a fee.

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN:      Understand, the very men and women who place their lives on the line day in and day out to protect these 35 Alabama Senators, 105 Alabama, House of Representatives, The Alabama Governor, The Alabama Lt. Governor, The Alabama Attorney General, have expressed their opinions on this legislation.


And the Alabama Senators and Alabama House of Representatives are literally spitting in the faces of the men and women who are placing their lives on the line in order to protect these numb skulls.


The Alabama Sheriff’s have made it crystal clear, crystal clear, of their position on this legislation. And the Alabama Senators and Alabama House Members are spitting and urinating in the faces of these men and women who place their lives on the lines to to protect the citizens and guests of this state.


WHAT A DISGRACE. These Senators and Representatives want armed guards to protect them, scan people coming in and out of the state house, have them stand behind rope lines, park in a secured parking lot, but ignore what the professionals tell them.


I have put it very plain and simple so you can understand it.


Even as much as people like Alan Benefield, in my opinion is a revolving jack ass, he can understand it. ( Hey $ 500 cash for the picture ).
