Cottonwood Man Charged with Burglary and Theft

Cottonwood Police Chief Tony Money arrested Calvin Ray Pitts age 30 of Cottonwood on June 12, 2017 for the alleged burglary of a Cottonwood church. Chief Money caught Pitts as he was leaving the church. Pitts will also be charged with arson of mobile home which occurred June 11, 2017.
Pitts was wanted in connection with an auto theft from another area agency. The stolen vehicle was also recovered in Cottonwood. Pitts was placed in the Houston County Jail with a $25,000 bond for the burglary charge. The investigation is ongoing.
