ALABAMA COUNTY, STATE OF ALABAMA, FLORIDA and GEORGIA: Monday is Confederate Memorial Day which is a holiday for county government, state government in Alabama.
OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Your Federal offices and Municipal Offices, such as the City of Dothan, are open for business on Monday, April 22. That means if you have court scheduled in the Dothan Municipal Court located at 210 North Saint Andrews Street, you are to be in court if scheduled.
CLOSED FOR BUSINESS: In Alabama, Georgia and Florida, all state offices and county offices are CLOSED on Monday, April 22. They are closed for Confederate Memorial Day.
Those offices will re-open on Tuesday. Remember, Dale County and Houston County offices work four days a week. With Monday a holiday, they will ONLY BE OPEN for business on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They are regularly closed for business on Friday's and that will be the same this week. But the county offices will only have a three day work week.
CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY gives people a chance to honor and remember the Confederate soldiers who died or were wounded during the American Civil Warduring the 1860's.
