DOTHAN, Ala. – An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) project on U.S. Highway 231 will begin on Monday, September 25.
The project will include a culvert extension and slope repair on U.S Highway 231 near mile post 27.
Beginning Monday the southbound outside lane will be closed but ALDOT plans to reopen that lane by the end of the week. After that lane closure temporary daytime lane closures are possible.
Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through a construction and to plan accordingly for possible delays.
ALDOT awarded the project to S.A. Graham Company, Inc., out of Brundidge, Ala., with 120 working days. The project is expected to be complete February of 2018.
ALDOT’s mission is to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound transportation network across Alabama. For further information, visit www.dot.state.al.us.
