Dale County Sheriff's Office Death Investigation

On Sunday, August 20th, the Dale County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a missing person report on 24 year old Laramie Cline, who had been a resident of Ozark.  Cline’s mother became concerned and contacted the Sheriff’s Office after Cline stopped communicating with her on Thursday, August 17th.

During the investigation Investigators received information that Cline may be in the North Little Rock, Arkansas area. Sheriff’s Investigators working in collaboration with the North Little Rock and Jacksonville Police Departments, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police and were able to locate Cline’s vehicle in Pinnacle Mountain State Park. A male subject was found to be in possession of the victim’s vehicle and was taken into custody on unrelated warrants.

          At approximately 1:00AM on Monday August 21st the Arkansas State Police contacted us and stated that they had located a deceased female near Lake Pickthorne in Lonoke County. The Arkansas State Police Crime Lab later identified the female as Laramie Cline. A cause of death investigation is still pending and the investigation continues.

         The subject in possession of Cline’s vehicle is currently being held on unrelated charges and at this time has not been charged in the disappearance of Cline. The Arkansans State Police are currently the lead agency in the death investigation.
