The Daylily Art & Garden Festival will be Saturday, May 19, on the square in downtown Headland.
Activities will kick off at 8:00am with the Daylily Dash 5K Run and Fun Run benefiting Wiregrass United Way. Registration for the Daylily Dash begins at 7am in the gazebo.
All other festival activities begin at 10am and include arts and crafts, a classic car show hosted by New South Cruisers, a Youth Art Contest and Exhibit, garden-related vendors, daylilies and other plants, farmers market vendors and food vendors. Hands-on art and gardening activities will be offered for free for children inside the square.
Headland native Lisa Whiddon Slaker will be the featured artist during the festival. She and a selection of her art will be located near the gazebo.
Local daylily growers Bush Gardens will be at the square and will offer garden tours and activities from 8am-4pm at Bush Gardens II, 2656 Hwy 134 W.
