Disorderly Call Lands Man in Jail on Multiple Charges

On September 15, 2018 at 10:13 AM, Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to the Cottondale Village Apartments in reference to an altercation.
An investigation revealed that Jonathan Hartsfield of Greenwood had followed his estranged girlfriend to her sister’s apartment. Once there he forced his way into the apartment striking the sister. He then demanded that his estranged girlfriend leave with him, threatening to harm her if she did not. When the sister called 911, Hartsfield fled the area.
Hartsfield had previously been issued a No Trespass Warning for the property by the Marianna Police Department.
At 4:37 PM, Officers again responded to the area because Hartsfield was seen behind the apartment his estranged girlfriend was in.
When Officer arrived, they observed Hartsfield behind the apartment. When Harstfield saw Officers approach, he fled on foot through the complex. After a brief foot chase, Hartsfield was taken into custody on the above listed charges.
