COMMENTS

Slaughter cows steady with bulls steady to 3 lower. Replacement pairs and bred cows steady . Calves and feeder cattle 3 to 5 higher. Market certainly going our way and looking very solid . The feed yards are staying current and the meat is moving and another positive is the carcass weights are 19 pounds under a year ago. that makes a big difference in supply when you consider they process 550 to 600,000 cattle per week. Demand for calves and yearlings just keeps coming. All buyers continue to have very good orders and are needing cattle. Just the way we like to see it.Fed cattle in the west 5 to 7 dollars higher @ 115-119.50
