COMMENTS

Slaughter classes 2 to 3 higher . Replacement pairs and bred cows steady . Calves and feeder cattle 3 to 5 higher. We are in a very good market with lots of activity and demand and showing a very solid undertone. Futures markets continue favorable, especially on the far out months. Demand for our BEEF continues very strong both here and abroad, and this is key. As long as the meat is moving at a steady pace that bodes well for our industry. Fed cattle in the West last week pretty much steady to 2 higher @ 1.27 to 1.30 and once again some auction cattle in Iowa up to 1.35 !!
