DOTHAN:     Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba, Dothan Utilities Manager Billy Mayes, Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah held a 1:30 PM press conference.

They asked for patience. Dothan Utilities said by midnight tonight everyone should have power restored. That is the pertaining to the customers of Dothan Utilities.

EMA Director Chris Judah said the Presidential Declaration was a Category B declaration. This is a declaration to help the government and non profits.

FEMA does not come in and show up and start writing checks. There is a process to follow and EMA attempting to get that declaration changed to a major declaration in order to provide additional funding.

Judah said there were 400 roads in Houston County and Houston County is down to 15 to 20 roads. Judah thanked Houston County Road and Bridge.

Judah thanked the organization like SHEEP DOGS and Alabama Baptist Association. Judah thanked 211, Mr. David Duke, which has been a life saver.

The east side of Houston County is the area that was hit the hardest. Judah said remember the farmers, they have been hit hard. They have lost millions in timber, cotton and other items.

Wiregrass Electric has some 3,600 members to get power restored. They are working very hard to get that restored. One of the delays is the problem in getting to lines having to cut trees out in order to get to the lines.

Director Judah said there are 300 people in Gordon who have not been fed. They have been hit hard and stuck.

Judah said that he did a fly over yesterday. Again Judah said the east side was hit hard. We are in a recovery phase. Not much left in Seminole and Early County Georgia. The Jackson County area has been his very hard and Bay County - Panama City have been destroyed.

NOTE:    Matt was moving cots for Emergency Management and helping get them loaded. We had someone else do the livestream. They have plenty of time on their hands and play on FACEBOOK a lot. Therefore had costumes, snow and funny graphics. As the video started they realized the graphics and was attempting to take them off and still get the audio and video. So please excuse the funny graphics.
