According to an Article in the Dothan Eagle; The Dothan Police Department and the Dothan Police Foundation are helping their fellow law enforcement personnel in the Florida panhandle by collecting food, donation, and supplies for those affected by Hurricane Michael.
Hurricane Michael left a path of destruction in the Florida panhandle and members of law enforcement are also among those impacted by the devastation.
“We have made contact with multiple law enforcement agencies in that area, and we have been informed of their needs,” said Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish. “As a fellow law enforcement officers, we know the sacrifices made not only by the law enforcement, but by their families and spouses. These officers are and have been working 24/7 trying to serve their communities, while their spouses and families are taking care of everything at home before and after the storm. Their spouses have had to step up during this time and we want to help anyway we can.”
