Dothan Police Lt. Will Glover - POWER Of Prayer

DOTHAN:     On Monday Dothan Police Lt. Will Glover was found unconscious at the gas pumps behind the Dothan Civic Center. A officer found Lt. Glover on the ground. Dothan Fire and local EMS were called to the scene and Lt. Glover was rushed to the hospital.


Later this week surgery was performed on Lt. Glover. Major surgery, extensive surgery.


The day of the surgery men and women in blue, civilians, surronded the hospital and hallways and surronded the hospital with prayer. Dothan Police Captain Eddie Henderson led the group in prayer for the physicians, nursing staff, Lt. Glover, and his family.


People from all over, police - fire- EMS - citizens prayed for Lt. Glover. Dothan Police - Dothan Fire - Houston County Sheriff Deputies - other departments to include Sheriff’s, Chief of Police and officers, Alabama Department of Law Enforcement Officers...a lot of people.


Today I had the rare opportunity of being able to personally visit Lt. Will Glover. And I witnessed the power of prayer when I saw Will. GOD has been honored and blessed Lt. Will Glover. It was remarkable from where he was Monday to where he is now.


Lt. Glover is still in the hospital, in fact ICU type unit.


There are people who believe in GOD and those who don’t. That is your choice and if you do not you are dealing in dangerous territory in my humble feelings.


But the men and women in emergency services demonstrated their beleif, without hesitation or forced because of their jobs, and on their own, surronded the hospital and staff, along with Lt. Glover in praying lifting them up to a Holy and Living GOD.


We never know GOD’S will when something happens. And even after prayer, GOD makes other decisions. We have to accept HIS will which is not always our will. And accepting HIS will is often very difficult when the results are not what we want or prayed for.


In the case of Dothan Police Lt. Will Glover, GOD has answered prayer so far. And everyone gives GOD the glory for the answered prayer.


And to the believers of a Holy and Living GOD, your emergency service providers, on their own, demonstrated their belief in a Holy and living GOD by surronding the hospital and Lt.Glover in prayer.


There are a host of people that have blessed Lt. Glover and his family. Way to many for me to mention. But two fellow officers have not left Lt. Glover’s side since Monday. I am not calling them by name at this time. But these two and many - many - many more have been there. It shows the quality of a person and a officer that Will Glover has been throughout his tenure with Dothan Police Department.


The City of Dothan is a better place to live because Will Glover has devoted his life to serve and protect.


May GOD continue to bless and keep you safe and in the days ahead as you work to improve daily.
