Dothan Police Release this Statement on Bomb Threat

We are receiving several calls of concern this morning regarding a bomb threat from late yesterday afternoon . We wish to inform everyone that the situation is resolved as of 4:30 AM Friday morning. Medical Center Terrace was evacuated and the bomb team was deployed.


Dothan PD, Houston County Sheriff's Office and the department of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) worked throughout the night to bring this situation to a peaceful resolution. We will have a press conference later today (1:30) and provide more details.


All residents evacuated have been allowed to return to their homes and there is no immediate danger to the public. We have a person in custody. It will be related to the bombing from earlier in the week. That is all for now.
