Work continues in the Garden District area. Six electric crews continue work with four mutual aid crews from Riviera, Opelika, Sheffield, and Cullman. Additional support continues providing essential tree cutting efforts by the Public Works Street Department, Dothan Utilities Water and Sewer crews, and Dothan Utilities contract tree cutting crews (Asplundh).

08-25 Feeder hot and holding, continue work in 08-25 area along Choctaw, Park in


Garden District to pick-up taps (lines feeding off feeder).


08-27 – RCC outside, Kent Dr., Newton St., W. Main, and Pettus St. are next.


Micah with Opelika Crews:


Continue North Cherokee inside RCC.


Lance with Riviera Crews:


Completed work on West Main-working S. Roberta and S. Cherokee. Continue work


on 08-25 area taps.


 08-27 next.


Lee:


Continued work in 08-25 area taps

K.J:


Ø Complete work in S. Appletree, S. Lafayette, Washington, and S. St. Andrews areas.

PUBLIC WORKS, DU CREWS AND ASPLUNDH (TREE-CUTTING EFFORTS)

continue.

Service trucks continue to work on customer transformers, service taps, and service cuts in


smaller, individual areas in efforts to restore service with great effort and will continue.


Several areas we are scheduling to go work.


Charles Metzger, Public Works Director, reports:


“We are Down to about 3 traffic signals without power out of 135 citywide. Also all the


streets that we know about have been cleared and are passable. Please be aware that


homeowners and businesses will be putting debris out near the streets for weeks to come.


Slow down and watch for limbs and other debris in the roadway. Also, please watch for City


Crews cleaning up this debris. There will be large loaders and other equipment all over the


City out in the roadways. This cleanup will take several weeks to accomplish.
