DOTHAN, Ala. – On Monday, February 5, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin a pavement preservation project beginning on South Oates Street from Ross Clark Circle continuing onto Reeves Street to Speigner Street.

There will be lane closures throughout the project.  Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for expected delays and be mindful of construction workers.

The $1,401,515.77 contract was awarded to Midsouth Paving, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met project requirements.  The project is expected to be complete by May 2018.

ALDOT’s mission is to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound transportation network across Alabama.  For further information, visit www.dot.state.al.us.
