Early Morning Accident with Entrapment on East Smithville Road

HOUSTON COUNTY: Hodgesville and Rehobeth Fire and Cottonwood Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on East Smithville Road. First reports were vehicle verse tree with entrapment. When units arrived on scene Cottonwood rescue requested Dothan Fire respond due to entrapment and injuries.
The victim was airlifted to a Dothan hospital after a nearly two hour extrication.
Houston County Sheriff’s Office also responded. The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
