DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Yesterday's devastating tornadoes wiped through Lee County and parts of Eufaula leaving tons of debris, downed trees, and claimed the lives of 23 people. Although Lee County is two hours away from Dothan things may have been different if the storm had not shifted.
"Looking at the radar it was coming right at us, it just skirted around us, "Houston County, EMA Director Chris Judah said.
The National Weather Service called last night event a "tornado outbreak". According to the storm prediction, Sunday's weather was the deadliest outbreak in 6 years destroying homes and even toppling a cellar tower.
