Somewhere a EMT is getting yelled at for something they can’t help. While staying professional after being talked to worse than a dog. Risking their lives getting to a scene as quickly as possible to help someone they have never met. Having to hold themselves together on scene after seeing things you can’t even begin to imagine. Missing time with their family and friends so you still have yours. Walking away from a good hot meal after going non-stop all day to save you or someone you love dearly. It takes someone special to do this job. So before you complain about ANYTHING. Just ask yourself “could I do that job”? If you think you can then do it. Start working towards that EMT license now. We don’t ask for thanks. I personally don’t want to hear a thanks. But just a little bit of respect would be nice sometimes. RESPECT ALL FIRST RESPONDERS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT!!!!! You talk bad about us today. But tomorrow when you need help and your life depends on it. We’ll be there! Probably just to get cussed out. But I promise, we will show up and treat you like we would want to be treated.
